However, the point I was trying to make was that as a “Relaxed f2p”, that wouldn’t actually matter. If you fall into one of those categories- Kael should definitely come first. I actually didn’t think about the exp boost, thats an extremely valid point for people that aren’t playing the game as a side activity/ has a narrow time window in which they must maximize effectiveness. Part of that core team is probably Ninja, so I’m not advising you ignore Ninja, just that you prioritize Kael first. You should be focused on getting your core team to 60 as fast as possible. As a new player, you should not being trying to farm gear from dungeons. Putting masteries on Ninja would not reduce his farming speed nearly enough. With all of the above caveats in mind, DWJ’s tests show that Ninja is abysmal as a brutal campaign farmer compared to Kael. It also isn’t realistic to run Dragon with apothecary or a stun set bellower, as most new players won’t have those champions or stun gear. Putting accessories on either champ also isn’t realistic for a new player for two reasons - A new player won’t be able to farm enough potions to ascend ninja, and while a new player can probably get the potions for Kael, they won’t be able to clear a level of spider that is actually worth farming. Putting masteries on Kael vs not putting masteries on Ninja does not make this a fair comparison. įirst off, I do want to say that I think there are some flaws in this comparison from DWJ. DeadwoodJedi has put in the effort to actually test Kael vs Ninja using gear that aligns with what we should expect on a new account.
I fell on the side advocating for Kael, specifically because I feel he would farm campaign significantly faster than Ninja. There was recently a pretty hot debate here on Reddit regarding whether a new a player should max their starter, specifically Kael, or Ninja first.
